Nice material! Great quality!!I really like this pack. I like it even more since I got it steeply discounted from Amazon Warehouse. It's got that classic vintage styling that's just so easy on the eyes. But do know that what you're getting is a jack of all trades and a master of none.As a daily bag, it doesn't have a whole lot of pockets or organizational features. The one zippered pouch it does have feels a bit cramped at barely over an inch deep. The main compartment itself is somewhat tricky to get in and out of, going so far as ditching the ubiquitous plastic buckle for a classy--but cumbersome--metal clasp. As for that prized rear entry panel that they sell this bag on, in practice, while nice to have, I can't help but feel it's more of a "workaround" than a great feature of a true commuter/daily pack.On the other hand, if you want to use it as a day pack/travel bag/minimalist rucksack, it does pack surprisingly more space than the advertised 25L, which only counts the main compartment. The external pouch (1L) and mesh side pockets (2x1.5L) brings the total capacity of this pack to 29L. You might be able to further increase capacity by maxing out the roll top, which extends to 24 inches from top-to-bottom. However, there is no way to seal the opening beyond the metal clasp. A set of daisy chains and a lash point on the front adds even more versatility--although I wish they weren't all clustered together in one spot. I would have preferred loops spread out to the straps and sides of the pack instead. That said, the straps are nicely padded, and the back panel is very breathable. It's a very comfortable pack and it appears to be fairly durable, so we'll see.I'll update again after a year. But for now, I'd definitely say that it deserves far more love than it's been getting!I got this bag as my 6th grader’s backpack for the year after way too many years of bags with broken zippers and pockets full of random and totally unnecessary crap. So far it’s doing a great job. He’s able to unroll the top and get those ridiculously big 2” binders in fast, and it’s got enough space for all the schoolwork and a sweatshirt too. The curved straps stay on his shoulders well, especially with the sternum strap for an assist when he horsing around with his friends after school. He likes the fact that the zipper on the back means he can sneak a hand into the bottom of the bag to grab something small without having to shove his entire arm down into the top of the bag for it, which I thought was pretty clever. My only complaint was that it didn’t have any reflective material on it. But we fixed that by buying this wonderful fabric tape that comes in multiple colors. We bought it in smoke grey which made a really nice trim color when I put it all over. When hit with a car’s headlights the stuff lights up like a major league ballpark during the playoffs, making the bag very visible at night and still attractive during the day.Now I’m thinking of buying one of these for myself to replace a recently broken computer bag. Guess I’ll have to pick a different color or my kid will take my laptop to school! So far, so good. Water resistant and fits a ton, but also folds down when not stuffed full. Looks nice, quality item. Has a snap flap envelope style pocket on front that also has a zipper. Mesh pockets on side stretch and seem substantial like they won’t be ripping or getting holes anytime too soon. Use everyday for work, and for groceries when I walk to the supermarket. Has two inner pockets so I’m not searching the bottom of the bag for my wallet. Back has zipper access to the inner pockets for laptop or tablet so you don’t have to go through the top. I recommend. The black has a nice color. Good backpack.4 years of nearly daily use and it still looks/works like new! This is really my favorite ever backpack. Clean-lined, durable and waterproof, and because of the expanding roll-top, fits just about anything i would want to carry. I use it daily to bike commute and carry groceries, i have taken it on overnight trips hiking in yosemite. It was my only bag on a two week trip to france. If you only want one backpack, this is the one. Probably the best purchase I've ever made.Perfect size backpack. I love roll top backpack, I owned an timburk2 backpack before, which is a great backpack, but the size is a bit too large . This Burton backpack is perfect. I can carry my laptop safely with it with tones of other stuff without looking like going for camping. I wish the backpack is more water resistant. I walked under heavy rain without umbrella once, the main compartment is fine, but water slip into the front compartment, which is not a deal breaker , I just wish this bag to be my perfect backpackThis has been a pretty good backpack overall, but I think I may have received a slightly defective item. There is a small tear already starting to form (I am not sure if it was already there when I got the backpack or not). Other than that, it has been wonderful.Bag seemed sturdy, but I disliked the impractical front clasp. Instead of a buckle, it was an old-fashioned hook. Backpack was also a little darker-looking/moodier than I wanted. I really appreciated the back opening though. I switched to another Burton with the same feature, but one that had a brighter design and could hold 40L.La uso para la escuela y para algunos viajes. He visto otras con cierre.
