Leather Anti-Theft Travel Backpack for Women - Pink Fashion Shoulder Bag for Work & Travel

I purchased this bag because I'd purchased a similar one previously and liked the quality of it, although I had been hoping for more pockets. This one has them! I go to Europe about every other year and finding this thing may be a life-changer. Pick-pockets are a problem in just about any big city you travel to, but New York, Venice, and Paris are at the top. During my European tours our tour guides always warn us heavily about making sure our bags are held in front of us so that pick-pockets can't steal. In Munich in 2023 one of the women in my group had someone try to steal from her bag, but the pocket they'd unzipped didn't have anything in it. Theft is really a big deal in the touristy cities. While the newer sling-type bags that go in front of you are great, they aren't great for carrying water bottles and larger things, which you typically need when you're out all day exploring the city and aren't going back to a hotel room until the end of the night. This bag is big enough to put a large water bottle on the inside of the main bag compartment, as well as your wallet, phone, etc. It does have side pockets that are big enough to hold a 16oz plastic water bottle, but if you use larger refillable bottle, you'll have to plan on putting inside the bag. One thing I wondered when I ordered it is if the front of the bag that has the zipper was an actual pocket and it is! However, if you're truly worried about pick-pockets, I would not use that part. There are so many other compartments that are more hidden away and protected that I wouldn't bother with that pocket. It is also a deep pocket. I love the look and feel of the bag. It comes with a strap that could turn it into a purse, but I don't think the backpack straps come off so I think that would be odd. I only plan on using it as a small backpack. It is considered a medium-sized bag and I'd agree with that. It's not like a full backpack. It's almost similar to the size of a travel Nike or Adidas day bag. Large enough to hold things like a paper notebook, but not a laptop. I can't wait to use it on my next trip! The delivery expectation time on this was almost perfect. It did take the full 3-4 weeks for delivery. I found another one similar to this one with decorative butterflies that my daughter might like (she's 15) so I may purchase it as well, since she also goes on the trips with us. I have no problem paying $35 for this because I do feel like it is quality material and will keep my stuff protected from theft! And it's also cute :)
