I chose this bag because I liked the option to convert between a backpack and a tote bag, and Osprey is a trusted brand. My needs are to protect my work laptop while travelling by lightraiI, with some extra room to carry personal essentials. I liked the color options and it feels very well made. You can see in my photos that there is the option to completely tuck away the backpack straps when using as a tote - love this! Vice versa if you'd like to carry as a backpack....just tuck the tote straps and go. As mentioned in another review- the clips to detach/tuck the backpack straps are tricky and a bit annoying. Assume this is meant to be a safety feature? The hook and roll top allows for unrolling to add quite a bit more storage space if you're using to travel. One thing of note......the bag is DARK inside, since it has a straight top zip instead of the standard crescent shape on backpacks. As in, dark to the point of it being tough to see what's packed in there unless you're directly under a light! Osprey obviously knew it was a bit tough to see inside, because they made the key clip a neon orange so you can make it out in the depths of your stuff. This may be a deal breaker for me, will be carrying the bag for the first time tomorrow. Will update my thoughts, then.solid quality and good design. But it's very difficult to change from a backpack to a shoulder bag and isn't comfortable to carry as a shoulder bag. I primarily used it as a backpack so I am satisfied.The Totepack design brings an air of modern design styling to the overall aesthetic of the bag. I purchased it to use on vacation and I loved it so much that I'm now using it for my daily computer bag!This soft back has great padding for your back, lightweight and tough fabrication, easily portable sizing, and versatility with its carrying choices. It is immediate favorite of mine!Much more useful keeping as a backpack than a tote. Clips to change styles were hard to use, and the rolltop makes it hard to easily slide things in and out of the pack. Biggest issue for me was the lack of a water bottle holder as well- returned!Comfortable and functional, superior materials and design. Goes from every day bag to travel pack seamlessly.Really like this backpack....cute and very convenient.Really good bag.
