I've had a LOT of backpacks out there including a lot of the big names. I actually started out with Maxpedition with the Condor II when it first came out. I had it for about 5 years through all kinds of rough stuff before I lost it to a burglary at home. After that I decided to try out a few other brands through the years including Spec-Ops T.H.E. Pack, Tactical Tailor fight light, GoRuck GR1, 5.11 24hr, and a few others. So when I wanted to buy myself a new one for Christmas I went back to the original. The only gripe is they don't have the digital Camo like my first one. It's definitely like coming home again. One thing that surprised me is that I didn't remember the straps being as narrow as they are so it's digging in a touch more than I remember. This isn't to say it's painful but after using my GoRuck for the past 5 years it is definitely noticeable, but at less than half of my go-ruck I'll take it.Beyond that I almost forgot how much I loved the modularity of the pack while not being too busy. There's just enough organization that it's easy to keep what I need without being overly ladden with hidden nooks and pockets (like the 5.11 products). Nor is it too slimmed down that I need an army of other pouches to keep things organized (like Tactical Tailor or Go-Ruck).The durability is spot on just like I remembered as well. I can't wait to use it over the next few years.
